Unsettled Ground - Portals Revisited

Picking up on some combining of processes which I initially began exploring in 2023 - see blog post 02/08/23 Hollows, Holes and Peering into Other Worlds...

Upon revisiting this approach, I’ve created an image that evokes a sense of unease and environmental disruption. The unexpected, flesh-toned paint spilling from the hollow of the tree suggests an unnatural intrusion, starkly contrasting with the natural form. Titled Unsettled Ground, the work explores the tension between nature and disturbance.
